File -> Exit should always remain as FC close.

Current Behavior :
When the option "Handle closing as minimization" is set (option checked), both :
1. close via Window X button AND
2. File -> Exit,
result in minimizing FC to system tray.

Desired Behavior :
But the functionality File -> Exit should not behave that way. File -> Exit should always remain as FC close.
That is because, when the Menu Option File -> Exit is chosen, the user has CONSCIOUSLY AND EXPLICITLY chosen to close FC.
So, ONLY the click on X (Window Close) button should be handled handled to Minimize to System Tray.

In Summary :
1. If the above said option is set, clicking on the X (Windows Close) button should cause the utility to be minimized.
2. If the Option is not set the FC should be closed.

However whatever the option is set to, File -> Exit should always close FC.

I have a hard time understanding which option and where

Maybe you could re-write your post?

I concur

Others programs that I use behave in the described desired way: when a user chooses to close them from the main menu, then they ignore the "close = minimization to tray" setting

File menu / Exit or Quit should always close a program regardless of any other options.
All other behaviour is wrong.

All other behaviour is wrong.
You mean, you agree with us? Or are you saying that there is something wrong with our FC?

Because if the latter then I did test this option in version 861 32-bit public on Windows 10 Enterprise 20H2 19042.746 x64 and it works as described in the initial post
