871 - Auto-size functionality bug for Name column

#1 Post by Free4all » 20.06.2022, 18:25

FreeCommander XE v871 64-bit Donor has several significant bugs.

Unfortunately, I'm sorry, but I only have a moment to post about one of them, and even this bug report will need to be brief.

Specifically, the 'Auto-size' functionality no longer works correctly for the 'Name' column. With several locked tabs in horizontal pane mode, all using the same default column profile, filenames get truncated after just ~19 characters* when switching between tabs or when navigating to subfolders.

This particular bug is a regression because the only change was updating to v871.

*Dependent on the actual characters present in the file name, the font size, and whether or not the font is monospaced or proportional spaced.

Are you using the updated version? Check the About dialog, if the version is really 64-bit.

It was re-uploaded, so please try to download it again.

Regarding the reported problem, need more information, steps to reproduce.

Try to use the option "Autosize for "Name" column" and "Fill remaining space" option.
