When I try do double tap a file or folder in FreeCommander, using either a finger or the digitizer pen, the file/folder is selected (as with a single click/tap) but the file/folder is not opened.
With mouse/touchpad double clicking works fine in FreeCommander. And the double tap with finger/digitzer pen works fine in any other app (e.g. Windows Explorer).
Tested with a new profile (default settings), same behavior.
Using:
FreeCommander XE 2022 Build 868 64-bit donor (portable)
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit 21H2 Build 19044.1645
Surface Pro 6
Double click/tap does not work on touchscreen
Re: Double click/tap does not work on touchscreen
I can't test it on a touchscreen device, but you can try these options, as workaround:
https://freecommander.com/fchelpxe/en/General4.html
- Hot track only
- Open file with single click
- Open folder with single click
- By click on extension or free space in label...
- By click on item icon...
This way you should be able to open item with single click and focus/select item clicking the item icon or extension.
