Drag & Drop Destination Highlight (?)
Drag & Drop Destination Highlight (?)
FreeCommander XE 2022 Build 865 64-bit donor
When I drag a file to a destination directory, the destination doesn't change appearance, like it used to, to indicate, "this is definitely where it's going to go". The previous version (2020?) that I was using did do that, and I liked it. Have I overlooked something?

Re: Drag & Drop Destination Highlight (?)
I have version 2022 build 860 32 bit public and do NOT have that issue. I would first confirm your version and then perhaps reset your colour scheme.

Re: Drag & Drop Destination Highlight (?)
Thanks for the reply. That didn't seem to change anything, as far as this issue goes. I'm wondering if I should have posted this under "bugs"...?
Re: Drag & Drop Destination Highlight (?)
Confirmed, with the NC-mode only, not sure if it's a bug, but in Explorer it's highlighted, also with default settings in FC.
Moved to Bug Reports.
FC 866, Windows 10.

Re: Drag & Drop Destination Highlight (?)
Sorry to be daft, but what, exactly, *is* NC-Mode? And how do I make it active (turn it on, off, engage it...) or inactive?
I tried changing some settings there, but it didn't seem to affect this issue.

Re: Drag & Drop Destination Highlight (?)
Ugh. I should have looked there--thanks!
I checked (looked at) my NC-Mode settings and they are all unchecked.

Re: Drag & Drop Destination Highlight (?)
OK, so it's working only if NC-mode is disabled and White default color scheme is used.
If NC-mode or/and other color scheme is used, it's broken.
Anyway, tooltip with the folder name is shown, it's a good workaround, working with Blocking transfer option only.

Re: Drag & Drop Destination Highlight (?)
Please try the latest version 866 and test with the portable version, your custom settings will be preserved.

820 is good.
830 is good.

I hope this helps to nail it down.

Re: Drag & Drop Destination Highlight (?)
Donor build 867 didn't fix it.
Re: Drag & Drop Destination Highlight (?)
This has always only worked if Windows colors are used "Use Windows colors".
Currently I have no other solution.

That's how my settings are. This has always only worked if Windows colors are used "Use Windows colors".
Just for a sanity check, I rolled back to Donor Build 813, and the destination lights up.
