The program does not respond again and again

#1 Post by T-buch » 11.02.2022, 16:33

Brandnew OS installation Win 10
FreeCommander XE 2022 Build 860 32-bit public

Renaming - Moving file around - deleting - if I got five minutes without FreeCommander is freesing or do not respond then I'm lucky.
And then There is only one way - Go to the Task Manager and kill FreeCommander

Back again it sometimes goes on five min again - other times when trying to process the same files again - the program just immediately freezes again
Using Explorer OR A reboot of Windows - do solve the problem - but soon going back working in FreeCommander, it will happen again with other files

I can't remember I having such problems before
Something is preventing the FreeCommander from operating freely

Portable version Seems to work with out the Problem
Could to many tabs be the reason?

I do not think that many tabs cause the problem.
I would check any paths to not existent network locations.
Sometimes Antivirus programs make problems.

Thanks for your reply
Don't have any "not existent network locations" - but I might have an USB-HDD turned off - but not on any active Tabs - but I will see if these cause the problem

How to close the tab which prevents the program to run?
I have a tab with non existed path and FC cannot work, it just hangs after it started.
