Quick Search - Ability to Select All

If I use the quick search feature it selects one item and using the up and down arrow keys, I can then cycle through them.

It would be nice to have the ability to select all.

I'm not sure what the best shortcut could be for this. Maybe the left or right arrow key?!

This would remove the need to use the filter in most of my cases which involved more steps.

Using the filter first is just one key press either, use Ctrl+Q Ctrl+Y and type a text, or type a text and press right arrow key.

Alternative suggestion could be, after using quick search and activating the quick filter, use the text from quick search for quick filter, for example, type "abc" and press Ctrl+Q Ctrl+Y would filter items with text "abc".

I kind of lost your steps there. Can you explain it in more detail?

Ctrl+Q brings up the preview panel.

I think if the user starts typing for the quick search then uses the left or right key to select all that would be a couple of steps less than using the filter which would be activating it and disabling it.

I feel my suggestion is more keyboard friendly with no combo keys to press.

Implemented for the next release:
- If "Quick search" is active it is possible now to set the "Quick Filter" from the content of the quick search field - use Ctrl+Y when the quick search field is visible.
- If "Quick search" is active it is possible now to select all items matched with the content of the quick search field - use Ctrl+A when the quick search field is visible.

I'm sorry, the correct shortcut is Ctrl+Y, I edited the post above (Ctrl+Y is quick filter, Ctrl+Q is quick viewer).

You can press Crtl+Y and type your text.

Anyway, a better solution will be added.

Ctrl+Y doesn't do anything for me. Is that a custom shortcut?

All I have is Alt+Y which sets the filter.

It should be a default shortcut, you can check it in "Define keyboard shortcuts" window.

In the file list panel, while not using quick search, press Ctrl+Y, type a text and all results should be filtered automatically.

Thanks, I must have changed that.

I thought there was a toggle filter but seems not. I might make a suggestion for that if it's not all ready done so.
