Hi all,

I want to sort all files in the right hand pane by Name, ascending - for all folders. I tried modifying the fc_default_view file but the sort by name ASC doesn't work. Nor is the column visibility consistent. some files show different headings. What am I doing wrong?

Sorry to say but setting this program up is EXTREMELY convoluted and confusing. I love it but...

Why you're using old version?

Anyway, check the settings - view - column profiles/automatic views - auto selectable views, if that option is disabled and which options are set for default view.

You solved the problem. The <Default view> was sorted on Date/Time. Duh..... .Thanks!
