I also noticed this delay long time ago but didn't memorize which FC version it was.
For me it's less a delay but a unsorted opening if you have a tree for each filewindow.
The time for full opening seems to be nearly equal (less than 1 sec).
Both openings with same freecommander.ini.
In v810 the opening runs like this:
1. open FC window
2. open all borders of trees and file panes in saved sizes
3. open content of 1. tree,
4. open content of 1. file pane,
5. open content of 2. tree,
6. open content of 2. file pane
this ist a sorted opening from left to right.
In v860 the opening runs like this:
1. open FC window
2. open border and content of 1. file pane,
3. open border and content of 2. file pane,
4. push file pane 2 to right and open 2. tree in saved size
5. push file pane 1 to right and open 1. tree in saved size
this ist a unsorted opening and looks like taking more time because all steps are visible.
For me the old opening procedure looks smoother.
