Is there any possibility to show the size and/or the number of files (recursive downward) it includes?
If not possible yet, I would like to have that as a request for future development.

You can configure the "Status bar" to show various items and information:

Tools → Settings → View → Status bar

Re: Folder size & file number
Thanks for the first hint.
But the problem is that I'm struggling with which function gives the number of files below the selected folder.
[fc_countAll] gives the number of objects in the current folder. I would need the number of objects included in the selected folder.

Re: Folder size & file number
Where will I see that information then?
I tried to add the "Files" column to the menu, but it remains empty.

Re: Folder size & file number
You need new columns: http://freecommander.com/en/faq-column- ... izeColumnsWhere will I see that information then?
After you defined new columns restart FC.
Re: Folder size & file number
Seems like the only thing I needed was to restart FreeCommander.
The "Files" column now shows the number of files in the subfolder.
