Sort order change doesn't apply to all folders

Hi,
I usually like to sort my folders by name in ascending order and I have set up the options to do this. However, these options don't persist. Note in this image that I have set "Sort ... by name" but the folder persists in showing descending date.

When I switch away from that folder then switch back, the "Sort ... by name" has become unchecked.

How can I make sort order persist and also apply to all folders?
