Is there a way to configure a second sort order?

I couldn't find any info in the forum about a way to have two sort orders,
i.e. first sort order name, secondary sort order date. (name ascending, date descending)
If it is not yet possible, maybe, if it isn't too much of a burden, this feature could be implemented.
