File names truncated in List view

If I close FC with List view display, column width is too short when I restart FC, so file names are truncated. This occurs only in left panel and switching to another view mode then returning to List view restores normal column width.

Column width shortening is variable, but sometimes it can reach 1 character :

I can confirm this behavior - using beta 369.

However, I noticed that if I follow this sequence:

MENU: View > List
MENU: View > Details
MENU: View > List

The file names are not truncated.

If I follow this sequence:

MENU: View > List
MENU: Extra > Save Settings
MENU: File > Exit
Restart Free Commander (Double-Click on Desktop Icon)

Then the file names are not truncated.

Could be as simple as relocating or adding the command that refreshes / seeks the file names the first time you manually select List view from the menu after starting the application with the Details preference already set as the default view. At least I hope so.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance in testing / verifying the behaviors.

Thank you.

Can't confirm this, perhaps other settings, but I have similar problem:

- use list view
- create new file and rename it to "New text file11111111111111111111.txt"
= result is "New text file1111..."

Refresh always helps, but auto-refresh is not working good in this case.

I have the same problem with version 2008.06a

Previous version doesn't have this bug, so I've installed it again.

I can confirm the behavior mentioned in the original post.

It only seems to affect the left panel.

No combination of adjusting/saving settings solves the problem.

Any refresh action does show the full filenames as expected.

I am running 2008.06a.

Another one:

- use list view
- create a new folder on the right panel
- copy any folder or file with long name from left to right panel
= result is the same
