840 - Cannot enter some characters into Quick Filter input fields if assigned as keyboard shortcut

When focus is in any Quick Filter input field, and a keyboard shortcut is assigned to a valid filename character, the keyboard shortcut is evoked instead of entering the desired text.
For example, configure spacebar to switch between panes (very handy). Then it becomes impossible to enter a space character into any Quick Filter input field.
