Hi all, I am using FreeCommander XE 2021 Build 840 32-bit public on a Windows 10 up to date workstation.

I have set a "vertical" display in order to have the 2 panes one below the other. Whenever I launch FreeCommander I can see that the display is set for 1-2 seconds to "horizontal view" and before switching automatically to "vertical view". Of course such a glitch is not nice and did not occur with the previous version (810a). Thanks a lot for fixing this!

Can't reproduce in 840 32-bit public and in 840 64-bit donor, Windows 10 64-bit 20H2.

Are you using tree, or other options? Perhaps a screenshot could help, hints in the link "How to report a bug" below.

Configuration is : Windows 10 Home edition French 64 bits (1909) ; FreeCommander XE 2021 build 840 public portable

Steps:
1) Download and unzip https://freecommander.com/downloads/Fre ... rtable.zip
2) Launch FreeCommander
3) Restore previous settings (including double-pane, each pane with tree view)
4) Close and relaunch FreeCommander
5) (I update what I initially stated, no vertical->horizontal view glitch but) the FreeCommander GUI first appears without the left tree panes and then only after ~0.5 second, the tree panes appear. I tried to reproduce with a (looping) animated gif.

Same here, but I think it's normal.

I don't think it's normal. This "tree pane appearing glitch" did not exist in the previous version (FreeCommander XE 2020 Build 810a 32-bit public).

Hi All, I just would like to report that this interface glitch stills exists in last version : FreeCommander XE 2021 Build 858 32-bit public beta.

Happy to beta-test any updated version which would fix this issue.

I start my file manager once a day
so this sort of glitch doesn't hurt.

I generally remotely log to 5 different machines of ours and the glitch therefore occurs at least 5 times a day. And a glitch is a glitch.
