Hello,
I have to solve this issue again - FC freezes at start and asks for permissions to various folders. It's not a bug literally, but bad design.

How to reproduce this behavior:
Presumption: FC starts in last opened folders (I believe this is default setting).

1. Open some remote folder (Exchange server)
2. Apply Flat View in this panel
3. Close FreeCommander
4. Disconnect PC from network
5. Start FC

What happens:
Because last viewed folder is not availible anymore, FC goes to This Computer instead. But Flat View is remains active for this panel - so it tries to load every file in the computer.

Solution:
Disable Flat View at program startup.

I'm not sure if it's a bug, and which settings are you using, but in 830 public beta another tab is opened at start, when I click to the other tab with plain view, error dialog is shown, and then path from previous tab is used, FC install path in my case.

Which version are you using, which OS and which options - layouts, locked tab...?

OK, I tried it with default settings and I can confirm it, with multiple error dialogs and freezing.

To reproduce:
- use default settings
- plug any flash drive or external USB disk
- use plain view, ctrl+b
- close FC
- unplug flash drive
- start FC
= multiple dialogs are shown, when I close them all, FC is freezing and more dialogs are shown, both panels are empty, after 10 minutes FC is frozen, not responding

It doesn't matter if I click continue or cancel, I tried it again and I have more than 30 dialogs already.
When I try to use ctrl+b on This PC path, dialog is shown - "Operation is not supported", so FC should not try to use it, so now I think it is a bug.
FC 834 64-bit, Windows 10 2004 64-bit.

It will be fixed in the next version, 835.
