"hidden files" on main window and at same time on tree window ?

Hello !

Could any of you answer that question:

I use FreeCommander by having a window and, on its left, its tree structure.
I chose to display - or not - the "hidden files" for the main window, but this choice does not automatically affect the tree window. I must specify the choice especially for this one because these two choices are apparently independent of each other :x

Hence my question: is it possible to make sure that the choice of "hidden files" in the main window is automatically activated for the tree window ?

Thank you in advance for any answer!

I agree, the option and shortcut for "Show/hide hidden and system files" should affect also the tree, if possible.

Anyway, it should be possible to show/hide items in file list and tree, but also show/hide items only for file list and only for tree.

BTW Keyboard shortcut to Show/hide hidden folders in tree is missing.

Hi,
for hidden, sys, hidden & sys files you can define “switches” in the toolbar.
Click in the toolbar. In the list that appears, look for white logos with blue letters:
-H for show hidden files
-S for system file
-HS for system and hidden Files
The switches act as showing yes or no
The switches work in the file list, but not in the tree

@Hugo_W

Thank you for your informations which has served me well to create a shortcut :)

For example, I did: Tools -> Define Keyboard Shortcuts -> View ==> a list of actions with/without shortcuts

In this list, I chose a line without a specified shortcut: "Show/hide hidden and system files"

So I assigned him a shortcut: [CTRL + Num(Dot)] ===> OK !

It is a shortcut only for files in main window and not also on tree window, but it is more easy than "tools -> settings" way ;)

Then I checked that my shortcut is in the list of the file "fc_shortcuts.txt" :P

For the file window you also can use rightclick on statusbar.
There are options for "hidden files" and "system files".
