In thumbnail view show the full name of the file/folder regardless of name length or have a char limit setting

It would be nice to have an option in the View menu or a toolbar item to toggle the full/shorter names of thumbnails.
Or possibly to have a setting in the preferences to have a character limit under Setttings>View>Thumbnails.
