Hi there, I'm using FC and I would like to disable the tabs feature. I don't like tabs, but when I open a favourite folder it opens in a new tab.

Is is possible to disable the creation of new tabs?

Thanks in advance.

Try to turn off the option Extras->Settings->View->Folder Tabs: Show tab row for one tab too.

Hi mate, I had that option turned off. However I've activated it and now it seems to work. There are not any tabs at all.

Cheers.

Thanks.

This problem plagued me too for the longest time. Even though no tab options where checked, opening any "Folder Favorite" always launched two tabs in one of the panes. Putting a check-mark by all the tab options, then saving the settings, then un-checking all the options, and again saving the settings seemed to clear the problem.

Tabs keep appearing, even after "disabling"

Hi all,

I am using Version 2009.02 with Windows XP.

I would like to disable tabs also.

I have tried putting a check-mark by all the tab options, then saving the settings, then un-checking all the options, and again saving the settings as suggested by Jerry but when selecting a favourite folder the tabs come back again.

In Extras->Settings->View->Folder Tabs: I don't have the option "Show tab row for one tab too." as suggested by Marek.

Can anybody help?

Thanks.javascript:emoticon('')

Hi Dazza:

I know how you feel -- at first it didn't seem to be working for me, then, mysteriously, it WAS working as I wanted it. I wonder if closing and restarting the application is a factor? Hmmm.

Anyway, it's still the greatest little file manager I've ever used since XTREE for DOS, and we all owe a big THANK YOU to Marek.

I totally agree Jerry.

Every respect to Marek for creating and developing this application.
