i tried all that it still defaults to sorting by name instead of type it saves the colums but not the sorting by ext

The users of German forum have found the problem. The sorting may be not saved if you have following options active:
- Close all not locked tabs when the program ends
- Always keep one tab open

unchecked those options and now its saving my sort settings thank you Marek
