Black background behind icons/icon behavior (updated)

#1 Post by frzby » 06.04.2009, 09:47

For some reasons I have a black background behind some icons regardless of the view type (List, Detail...). This doesn't affect all icons, but just a few (Notepad and ImgBurn icons for example). All other icons appear normal. Changing the background color of File List doesn't change the situation, the icon background remains black.

The same icons are displayed corectly for example in Windows Explorer, Total Commander and other.

Windows XP SP2, Free Commander 2009.02

Update 9.4.2009 :
Upon checking icon display behavior on other computers and even with a portable FreeCommander version, the problem was the same.

Also, it seems there's something wrong happening with the icon of the file when a rename is performed and the extension is changed. For example, if I rename a file from a Text.txt to Text.dll the icon displayed is always the "hand" icon that is used for shared folders/networked drives etc. This icon remains displayed no matter what, up until in manually refresh the file list with CTRL+R or change directory and re-enter it later.
