OS = Vista Business SP1
Have installed Free Commander and set it up as the shell as per another post in this forum (can't link..)
My problem is that I can now not open (by double clicking etc) most control panel/network type windows... The screen flicks (something is trying to open) but nothing appears.. If I Right-Click a control panel icon and choose explore, works fine.
Have only just installed (thanks to an article in Australian Personal Computer...) and so far am very impressed!
Thanks, John.
Accessing control panel etc when setup as shell..

Welcome hornetster
What I expect is happening is the control panel is really a explorer window looking at a bunch of files with a CPL extension. When the start menu calls this, what is actually happening is it is starting FC.
Have you tried the Control Panel icon in FC?
