Date Deleted sort order available as a button on Address Bar

#1 Post by Forez » 24.08.2022, 03:32

When a user is in the overall Recycle Bin system folder or a Recycle Bin folder (i.e. specifically on volume e.g. D) and has the Detailed View applied (CTRL + F2), then user can manually sort items by the date they were deleted. Unfortunately is is impossible to add button with this shortcut / option to e.g. the Address Bar

Although this is consistent with this peculiar sort order not being available also under the right click menu [viewtopic.php?p=39364] - it is also equally user unfriendly. And that is because user has to (one way or another) turn on the Detailed View mode first - and only then is user able to click the header of the Date Deleted Column in order to be able to get this order by date of deletion

This can be mitigated with a workaround in form of

Tools > Settings > Column profiles > View > Column profiles/Automatic views > Auto selectable views >

with such settings

Code: Select all

[asv_300B4EAA-5116-43F6-AEC2-C580E032636C]
Id=300B4EAA-5116-43F6-AEC2-C580E032636C
Name=Recycle Bin (an Auto Selectable View)
ViewStyle=2
DetailedViewName=
DetailedViewAutoSelect=1
SortColumnContentType=1
SortColumnContent=2
SortAsc=0
SizeOfFolders=0
Condition=<pidl>::{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}
ContentConditionType=0

But nevertheless: this new button I proposed would still be handy were it to be addable to the Address Bar
