Have several tabs in both panels. Add a column in one of the tabs, for example in the left panel. Cycle through the tabs in the left panel and all of them also have the new column.
This behavior is also present when testing using default settings. It is irrelevant if the tabs are locked or not and whether the column is added to a tab in the left or right panel.
On a side note, I was comparing files in a tab in the left panel with files in a tab in the right panel. The tabs in both panels have column profiles and auto selectable views configured. Wenn I compare files the columns are reduced to the settings in the other (inactive) tabs, which in my case are all the same. Also now both panels have the same columns in all of their tabs. It is irrelevant whether comparing the files in the right panel with the files in the left panel or vice versa. Refreshing doesn't relieve the issue. I have to navigate to another folder and back again (in the left as well as the right panel) for tabs to show the columns as per the auto selectable view's configuration. And in the above mentioned case where the tabs in one panel have an additional column, I also have to get rid of the superfluous column in an arbitrary tab in the pertinent panel.

913 - ADD/Remove columns creates columns for all tabs in a panel instead of only for the active tab
Re: 913 - ADD/Remove columns creates columns for all tabs in a panel instead of only for the active tab
Columns are not defined per tab but per profile.
If you use the same profile in multiple tabs, the new column will appear in all of those tabs.

Re: 913 - ADD/Remove columns creates columns for all tabs in a panel instead of only for the active tab
Thank you for the explanation. I've created a new column profile with auto selectable view accordingly.
One question remains, why is the auto selectable view removed when comparing files?
Edit:
Now all other tabs in both panels have the newly created auto selectable view as their default.
condition set: C:\Program Files;*
Edit 2: I removed the semicolon now it works, but if I refresh, all tabs revert to the standard view. I have to navigate to another folder and back again for the auto selectable view to take effect again. When I compare files, I have the option to refresh before comparing selected. Maybe the issue lies in the refresh function. The semicolon is included in the example given in the selector panel for the condition. Maybe it should be removed.

The semicolon is the separator for multiple path definitions.condition set: C:\Program Files;*
The definition
Code: Select all
C:\Program Files;*
affects the folder "C:\Program Files" and all other folder ( * means all paths).
