Sprung from this omission, here are my propositions and thoughts concerning more than just this one new improvement:
#1] Split tab of
Tools > Settings > File/folder operations > Rename/Create
to tab
Tools > Settings > File/folder operations > Rename
still containing in it its current subsection
Tools > Settings > File/folder operations > Rename/Create > Rename
and into tab
Tools > Settings > File/folder operations > New file / folder creator
which will contain current subsection
Tools > Settings > File/folder operations > Rename/Create > Create file/folder

Tools > Settings > File/folder operations > New file / folder creator > Keep history of files
Tools > Settings > File/folder operations > New file / folder creator > Keep history of folders
which when disabled will deactivate next 3 [6] proposition; i.e. will grey out options described in points #3, #4 and #5 accordingly in regards for files and / or folders [depending on what will be selected]
#3] Create options

Tools > Settings > File/folder operations > New file / folder creator > Number of days to keep history of folders > X
where X is the numbers of days the name of a created item will be kept on the list of past newly created files / folders
If set to 0 it will not disable a particular history but instead clear it when FreeCommander will be re-opened, thus making last remembering during only current session of FC

where Y is the numbers of names of a newly created items
Not every one has a lot of vertical space in a Panel and / or on screen. The lowest allowed number should be 1

Tools > Settings > File/folder operations > New file / folder creator > Keep Name Templates above history on list of folders
so that a user could decide what is more important and thus shall be seen at the top of unfolded drop-down list with ready-to-use Name Templates [which currently are called name suggestions]

thus ditch the approach of 2 [4] drop-down lists and create just one editable list

%ss%#7C] Replace 2 entirely separate drop-down edit lists with 2 sub-windows and create between them an interconnecting splitting column with buttons [alike to that present in the Define action toolbar of e.g. Splitter]:

● duplicate [within the same sub-window / list]
● copy [to opposite sub-window / list]
● move [to opposite sub-window / list]
● deactivate / activate [thus temporarily hide on unfolded drop-down list with ready-to-use Name Templates without a need to delete it in this window and then forcing user to write it again from scratch]
● reset files' list [to a state of showing on it only its default entries i.e. those currently available as name suggestions]
● reset folders' list [to a state of showing on it only its default entries i.e. those currently available as name suggestions]
#8] Change text in title bar of pop-up window evoked for creation of a file from FreeCommander to New File Creator
#9] Change text in title bar of window evoked with F7 from FreeCommander to New Folder Creator
#10] Add a button for clearing of history in each of those pop-up windows
Upon pressing of each button only the history of currently seen window will be wiped out [thus leaving the history of the other one untouched]
#11] Make the font of always listed "Examples" in those pop-up windows more readable
Its letters are currently small and grey on light grey background. Their size is apparently uncontrollable in Settings and they have not sufficient contrast and, making it challenging for people with impaired vision
#12] Fix GUI related bugs
