Thank you for the new option 'Use F1 for showing help'!
In v889 64-bit donor on Win7 64-bit, toggling that option causes FCXE to crash every time. I only tested with my existing configuration; if you also need testing with a fresh setup, just let me know, and I will explore further for you later this week or next.
889: Crash on toggling 'Use F1 for showing help'
Re: 889: Crash on toggling 'Use F1 for showing help'
First, I couldn't reproduce it with default or custom settings, but I found several other issues:
- use default settings
- open "Define keyboard shortcuts" dialog
- check the option "Use F1 for showing help" (or if it's checked, uncheck it*)
- click OK
- open "Define keyboard shortcuts" dialog
= option "Use F1 for showing help" is unchecked, incorrect (or it's checked, if it should be unchecked*)
- click to "New shortcut" field for the first command
- press F1
= Help window is opened, it should not be opened, since the option is unchecked
* I don't know why, but sometime it's checked, sometime it's unchecked with default settings, strange, but the option is not save in both cases.
- use default settings
- open "Define keyboard shortcuts" dialog
- assign F1 for the first command while the option "Use F1 for showing help" is unchecked
- OK
- open "Define keyboard shortcuts" dialog
- check the option "Use F1 for showing help"
- click Yes button to assign F1 for help
- OK
- open "Define keyboard shortcuts" dialog
= F1 is NOT assigned for help, it's still assigned for the first command
- while F1 is assigned to first command, reopen the dialog and check the option "Use F1 for showing help"
= F1 is not removed from first command - current shortcut column, I think it should be removed
I had the exception 3 times already, but still can't find the steps to reproduce it, it's like I'm repeating the same steps and have a different result, strange, still testing.
