Re: Paths longer than 255 characters
So after reading the associated article I am still not any the wiser to the answer to the big question: With or without the below registry entry does FC support filenames and/or paths longer than 260 characters?
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlFileSystem]
"LongPathsEnabled"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlFileSystem]
"LongPathsEnabled"=dword:00000001

Re: Paths longer than 255 characters
Yes, FC itself does support file names longer than 259.
Tested with 7z archives with names longer than 300 chars on my system.

You do not need any registry changes.So after reading the associated article I am still not any the wiser to the answer to the big question: With or without the below registry entry does FC support filenames and/or paths longer than 260 characters?
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlFileSystem]

You do not need search for such feature. Simply you can use paths longer than 255 in FC.Where can I find the feature "Paths longer than 255 characters can be opened, copied, moved and renamed"?
