Search dialog doesn't find content of folder with semicolon in its name

#1 Post by h-h » 12.07.2020, 20:58

FreeCommander XE 2020 Build 810a 32-bit public
Windows 10 Home, Version 1909

To reproduce:
  • Create two folders with the following names:
    • one
    • two; 2
  • Create empty "test.txt" inside folder "two; 2".
  • Select both folders "one" and "two; 2" and press Ctrl+F.
  • Search for "*" and "test.txt" should not show up in the results!
  • Without the semicolon in the folder name, the file does show up.

This specific problem doesn't exist anymore. However, the following happens:
  • In the search dialog, next to the search-in textbox, press the "+" button and "Browse..." ("Durchsuchen ..." in German).
  • Choose a folder containing a semicolon. The path of this folder was now incorrectly added to the textbox without having been enclosed in double-quotes, which leads to the folder just added being ignored in the search.

In the search dialog, next to the search-in textbox, press the "+" button and "Browse..." ("Durchsuchen ..." in German).
Choose a folder containing a semicolon. The path of this folder was now incorrectly added to the textbox without having been enclosed in double-quotes, which leads to the folder just added being ignored in the search.
It is fixed for the release 876.
Such paths must be defined with double quotes:
"d:\aa\fc;876"
