Ways to activate / enable FTP in Free Commander?

#1 Post by Bearded Kirklander » 09.10.2008, 02:17

It seems that I have to enable "Show FTP as drive" in order to get access to the FTP panel.

I'm wondering - is there another way to do that? Via menus or something?

I'm not sure if I'm overlooking something obvious or not, but am hoping someone can help set me straight.

Thanks

That bothered me at first too, but then I had One Bright Idea and added it to the Favorites. I put it in No.2 position because its tab is labeled 2:\, so I get it with Ctrl+Shift+2 -- a short reach for my not very large hand. Once it is there, it can be taken off the drive bar.

There should be a menu item for it, IMO. :)

Thanks!

I think I'll make a feature request in regards to the FTP menu item and perhaps a couple of thoughts about being able to edit configurations and save any size adjustments in the log window at the bottom of the pane.

I'm glad the feature is there. I just think it needs to be "spruced up" a little bit. :)
