Pesky QuickView problem solved

Hey,
If you're having a problem with Quickview not showing a preview of your .doc files even though you have office installed, try the following:

1. Go to Explorer
2. Click on Tools -> Folder Options -> File Types
3. Find .doc in the list, or whatever file you're having issues with
4. In the Advanced settings, make sure browse in the same folder is checked! I also have Confirm Open after download unchecked (not sure if that matters).

Obviously if you don't have Office installed, you can always install Microsoft's Free Viewers and make sure you set the advanced tab to the same as above. Anyhow, if this doesn't work for you, make sure you've searched this forum for quickview and followed the instructions for installing the universal viewer and entering the correct configuration for it. This post is for those who have configured the universal viewer and still have no preview happening. Hope it helps.
