#1 Post by flipflop » 28.12.2018, 15:11

Does the Donor version (x64) have faster response than the public version when used on Windows 10 x64 platform?

I'd like to know as well. FC takes a while to start up.

Did't notice any difference in performance. Versions differ only in a set of functionality. Donor version have converter and SFTP (64 bit only) - public key login is possible now. See additional info at https://freecommander.com/en/version-summary/

Sometimes you will get bad performance using the x32 version, as every process has a 2GB memory limit.
Also, some paths on a x64 system can't be reached native using an x86 tool.
