I have drive U: connected from a "Windows 2012" server share. Inside this drive is a directory "Jon" that I want to delete containing a file "Thumbs.db".
When I try to delete this directory (not the file), I first get a warning that the file Thumbs.db is a system file. I acknowledge the warning and am presented with another warning, that the file Thumbs.db is still open in FreeCommander (have restarted FreeCommander just before so this shouldn't be the case).
Even when I close the file's handle via ProcessHacker, and try again from the warning dialog, the warning re-appears and I can see that FreeCommander reopened the file handle.

Thanks. Will try the group policy settings or delete it directly on the server.

Try this little context menu utility. It's both an install and portable too.
