UNDO: is there no undo?

#1 Post by Tim_oz » 10.01.2019, 17:27

If there is, how do you do it?

Sometimes you might move something accidentally and dont even know where to.
Or delete.

Hey Timon, thanks from Timoz !

Actually, related question:
is there any log of the various actions you perform?

My biggest concern is MOVING a file accidently without realising where....
I can easily retrieve deleted stuff from the bin.

When I was using XP, Powerdesk 3.03 was my file manager. It's essentially the template from which FreeCommander is based off of. It was created for Windows 98, so it will crash every so often in XP. It also doesn't have the up/down column markers we're all used to, but it's a close match to FreeCommander + UNDO. Dual pane, customizable ui, favorites launch bar, etc. The problem is that it's not easy to track down an app that's over 20 years old.

It no longer works in newer editions of Windows, otherwise I'd still be using it since those devs recognized the importance of UNDO.
