Select files/folders with mouse drag

#1 Post by kayteck » 09.08.2016, 17:48

Is there an option somewhere to enable selecting the files while holding LMB and dragging through, like a standard windows file selection?
the only way of selecting multiple files I can find is when holding ctrl or shift key.

Try adding this line in the [Form] section of your FreeCommander.ini file:

Code: Select all

SelectLeftClickOnEmptyCaption=2
More info here: viewtopic.php?p=19828#p19828

Note: this option was added in the Settings GUI in current FC XE donor version.

You have to start the selection outside of a thumbnail or filename section (white space). Otherwise you strat to drag the file instead of a selection-border.

Try to disable the option "full row select" and enable "Enable selection by mouse dragging". I think there was a problem with dragging in previous version, so try to upgrade to the latest version or wait for the public update.
