How to open html file in Notepad++?
How can I open a html file in Notepad++ (instead of opening it with Firefox by double the file) using a favorite?

Many thanks joby_toss,
I carried it off, it works.
By the way, your answers are the best ones, the easiest understandable ones you can get. It cannot be better.
Many thanks again.

Interesting. I'm glad you understood Joby's answer, Dirk, because I don't have a clue what it means.
The simple way to open an html file in Notepad is to right-click the filename in FC, then go to Open With, slide the mouse pointer to the right and click on Notepad if it is offered or Choose Program if it is not, then browse for Notepad. Once you have done that, Notepad will be offered when you want to open another file.
Be sure you do NOT check the box that says, "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" because you will normally open it with Firefox or whatever browser you use. When you browse for Notepad.exe it will usually be in the Windows/System 32 folder.

Re: How to open html file in Notepad++?
Thank you, jrsva.
Many thanks again.
Yes, that works. But it often lasts a quite long time until the context menu opens, a problem somehow caused by my slow system, obviously. The simple way to open an html file in Notepad is to right-click the filename in FC, then go to Open With, slide the mouse pointer to the right and click on Notepad if it is offered or Choose Program if it is not, then browse for Notepad. I have the portable version, but it works anyway.Be sure you do NOT check the box that says, "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" because you will normally open it with Firefox or whatever browser you use. My comment was meant for jrsva, sorry! He offered the obvious solution, but not for your initial problem.

Re: How to open html file in Notepad++?
Joby quoted Dirk, "...using a favorite" and Dirk replied "Hmmm, sorry, I am not quite sure what this could mean."
I don't know what it could mean either. I had not noticed that in the original post and I could not make out what Joby was getting at with what looks like a page from Settings.
BTW, Joby, how do you quote a previous post as you did with "...using a favorite"? I haven't figured that one out yet.

Sorry, my English is not that good, so I won't try to explain myself here. The important thing is that the OP got his problem solved.
