Open tab in other panel?
Open tab in other panel?
Can one open a folder in a panel by clicking (with pressing a key or so) a tab in the other panel?

Or without using the mouse:

Thank you.
Many thanks for the screenshot...
Ah, sorry, may be...my expression...what I meant was: I click a tab - http://i.imgur.com/NGgWH9X.png - e.g. in the right panel and the tab / folder opens in the left panel and vice versa.
That would be good, but it does not seem to work here.Alt+Click?

Re: Open tab in other panel?
Right click on the tab and "Copy tab to other panel" from the context menu.
Re: Open tab in other panel?
Thank you, Karol,
Very sorry again, I did not mean to copy a tab. When you click on a tab a folder opens in the same panel, e.g. in the right panel (click the tab on the right one a folder on the right side will open). And I want to click on the same tab, but the folder shall open in the other / left panel (instead of in the same one).
Sorry for the bad expression.
Many thanks again.

Re: Open tab in other panel?
A tab displays the contents of an (already opened) folder, it doesn't open one when you click on it.
If you want the contents of a tab to be displayed in the other panel, than what should the clicked tab display in the current panel?
Workaround: use Favorites tree.

Re: Open tab in other panel?
Oops, I guess, I do not understand at all, sorry. So, when I click on a tab a folder opens in the same panel, if I see it right. Or does tab mean anything else than I think of? These things are called tabs or am I wrong: http://i.imgur.com/GG9hIv9.pngA tab displays the contents of an (already opened) folder, it doesn't open one when you click on it.
Well, it would stay like it is.If you want the contents of a tab to be displayed in the other panel, than what should the clicked tab display in the current panel?
Hmmm, at the moment I do not know what it is...Workaround: use Favorites tree.
Many thanks.

Re: Open tab in other panel?
Yes, those (in your screenshot) are the tabs. A tab is the visual representation (more like a title bar) of a directory content in FC's graphical user interface. Basically, it's an opened folder (many tabs = many opened folders).

I need to recap, so I can understand: let's say you have FC opened with tabs 1,2,3 in the left panel and 4,5,6 in the right panel (tabs 1 and 4 are the ones currently displayed by FC). You want to be able to select tab 2 (while tab 1 remains active) and have its contents displayed in the right panel as a new tab, 7?
If your answer is yes, then the only solution I can think of is to right click tab 2 and select "Copy tab to other panel".

Thank you for the link.
But I have understand now, it is not possible. Many thanks, again.
Yes, or replace a tab in the right panel.I need to recap, so I can understand: let's say you have FC opened with tabs 1,2,3 in the left panel and 4,5,6 in the right panel (tabs 1 and 4 are the ones currently displayed by FC). Yes, but just clicking a tab pressing a key would be more convenient for me. And if you copy a locked tab you would have to close it manually on the side you copied it to (respectively I would have to do it).If your answer is yes, then the only solution I can think of is to right click tab 2 and click "Copy tab to other panel".

Re: Open tab in other panel?
You can also drag the tab to the other panel.
But you also have to close the tab in the first panel.
