File sequences

Hi all,
I've had a look around for some functionality but I don't think it currently exists and I would love to see in FreeCommander XE.
I do a lot of 3D rendering which involves a lot of image files sequences. It would be so great to be able to have a viewing mode to see sequential files as a single item. For example

image_file_000.exr
image_file_001.exr
image_file_002.exr
image_file_003.exr
...
image_file_xxx.exr

would be shown as

Code: Select all

image_file_[000-xxx].exr

Does anyone know of a plugin or any way to do this already? If not, is it possible with the current plugin architecture?
