Synchronization file name length?

#1 Post by BrollyLSSJ » 30.07.2009, 12:30

How long can the path and file names be? In Total Commander they are 259, which is too short for some files. I used their new beta version (TC 7.5 PB4) and the path and names can now be 1022 and I was able to copy them with Permissions. If FC is also limited to 259 chars, will it be changed in the new version?

Is there a way to create a log file which files wouldn't be able to be copied? That way I could "ignore" them and take a later look.

Is FreeCommander able to copy files with NTFS permissions like Total Commander? If not, it would be nice to sea this feature added.

Any news about it? I want to know if I am able to synchronize files and folders with long filenames (longer than 259 signs). Or does FreeCommander XE also use the built in method like Windows Explorer?
