Unicode issue with %ActivSelAsFile% varable

#1 Post by keeperX » 17.07.2014, 16:58

issue:
%ActivSelAsFile% doesn't output unicode file name properly, when there are wide chars in the file name. E.g. Chinese chars
%InactivDir%, on the other hand, properly output unicode folder name even when it contains Chinese chars

Version: FreeCommander XE 2014 build 650

Test steps:
Integrate TeraCopy to FreeCommander, using Copy *%ActivSelAsFile% "%InactivDir%" parameter
try F5 to copy a file whose name contains Chinese chars (e.g. "张少佐 笑傲江湖 全100回.rar") to a folder whose name contains Chinese (e.g. \\192.168.0.9\DLNADisk1\Pingshu\张少佐)
observe TeraCopy errorinfo dialog, the destination folder name is properly displayed with Chinese chars, and the source file name with all Chinese chars substituted by ??

Please fix this issue, as it is important and seems pretty easy to fix.

And thank you very much for your work on FreeCommander, my favorite file manager on Windows.

Please close this bug report, as this issue is not present in build 665 public beta.

Thx.
