591 - Shortcuts issue 2

Similar bug, already fixed: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3961

- use option to "auto-minimize when starting the operation" window
- copy/move any file using FC operation
= focus is lost - old known bug
- click within the last used panel, on empty space
- now try to use few keyboard shortcuts (F2, Ctrl+PageDown/Up, F3, F4, F1, Ctrl+Q...)
= all shortcuts (except Tab) don't work while operation is in progress (in background)

If the operation is complete, the focus is restored (in not restored manually) and all shortcuts are working good then.

R 591, Win Vista SP2, 32 bit.

Still not fixed in 595. This bug is annoying, copying in background is quite useless because of these two bugs (not working shortcuts and lost focus).

Similar bug:

Please fix these bugs ASAP, if possible.

Thanks.

The copy/move with "auto-minimize when starting the operation" option works fine for me (Win7/64, XP):

- focus is not lost
- the shortcuts (F2, F3, F4, Ctrl+Q, Ctrl+T,...) are working

Maybe I need more info.

Strange...

I just tried to change some options and the settings tab in copy dialog disappeared - when I enabled the option to close after error operation. I can't see the settings tab while copying at all now. How can I activate the settings tab in this dialog - in ini perhaps?

Please try it with my old ini, if you need the new one, let me know.

Edit: OK, I am able to change the settings with Shift+F5, perhaps this is a problem, I'm using for F5 "Copy: Copy" operation, not copy with dialog, not FC copy. Please try to use "Copy: Copy" too.

You should see the settings tab before you start the operation.
Open the dialog with F5 and now you should see the tab.
Please send me your current ini.

Right now testing with newly created ini and it's still the same, it's not the ini file!

When using new shc file, when I enabled the option "auto minimize when starting the operation" and [save], next time I press F5 the dialog is still shown - NOT minimized - (another bug?).

Still testing with default settings, ini and shc...

Edit: I needed to change copy:copy shortcut to F5, now minimize when copying works, but I can reproduce both bugs with default ini and shc!!? Is it possible that it's OS related, or other ini files? Still testing...

I can always reproduce it with the CLEAN install! To reproduce:

- clean install 596
- create settings\FreeCommander.ini (empty file)
- run fc
- change copy:copy shortcut to F5
- set FC as copy operation
- copy large file to a different disk (F5)
= copying is started, "copy" and "files" tabs are there, but "settings" tab is missing - is it OK??
- now press cancel, yes
= now the tab "settings" appear
- enable option "auto min. when starting the operation"
- [save]
- Run
- abort operation - close all copy windows, also minimized
- copy another large file (F5)
= focus is lost
- click the empty space and select any file (on the same panel)
- press F2
= it doesn't work

If you can't reproduce it, I could try it on another PC with Win XP, but it's really strange.

Tested on Win Vista 32 bit, FC 595 and 596 - clean install.

Settings tab is visible if you open the dialog with F5 and is not visible while the operation is running.
It works properly for me (XP and Win7/64).

This one is not so important, more important are the other 2 bugs (lost focus and not working shortcuts like F2...). Have you tried the steps to reproduce from my last post?

Important step:

- change copy:copy shortcut to F5

It means - open "define keyboard shortcuts" window, find "Copy: Copy" and change the shortcut to F5.

Edit:
I can reproduce both bugs on another computer with Windows XP 32 bit!
Same steps to reproduce with the clean install.

That was - I have it.
Fixed for the release 597.
