I've changed the viewer extensions so that either ",pdf." is removed from either / or
~as Windows preview
~as Internet/Office
Can't seem to get it working. I miss being able to preview pdf files - any suggestions?

Windows 10 Home version - up today, somewhat locked down.

- what is your FC version?
- what is your installed PDF viewer (e.g. Adobe Reader)?
- what happens if you try to view pdf file with F3?
- can you see the pdf preview in the Windows Explorer preview pane?

~My FC version is FreeCommander XE 2019 Build 790a 64-bit donor
~I have Foxit reader as default. To remedy the problem I've swapped to the latest adobe version and others - no luck
If I try to view the file with F3 - it loads foxit. I have variously removed ",pdf," from the extensions list / hitting F9
I can't view the files in windows explorer view pane....

Adobe and Foxit - works fine with FC.
Something is wrong on your system if you can not see the pdf preview in Windows Explorer. First you should solve the problem!
For FC you need '.pdf.' (NOT ',pdf,') in the viewer configuration for "as Windows Preview" or "as Internet/Office" https://freecommander.com/fchelpxe/en/General5.html

Ok, I'll try to figure out why I can't see a preview in windows file explorer. Love FC, so if you have any tips about what might be wrong with my win10 setup, please let me know.

Thanks.

Issue solved. By installing Adobe PDF DC, and on the general tab, enable thumbnail preview in windows explorer - fixes the problem.
