I think, it is not a bug.
All after last point is the extension.

Or course it's a bug. It's not the extension/filetype.

The period exists only in the filename.

Right-click on the file and show properties and tell me what it lists as the name and type of file?

I do a lot of various scripts for 3ds Max and Mp3tag which have the vX.X in it.

Copied from the 2nd link:
Postcard.pdf.exe .exe This one is a bit tricky, because there are two periods in this file. The important thing to remember is the extension is the last period and the characters that follow it.
So the last period is still the extension which should result in:

Beatport by &stevehero v4.3#Version History.txt

being:
Beatport by &stevehero v4.3#Version History with ext .txt

Code: Select all

Beatport by &stevehero v4.3#Version History
I can not see .txt in your example.
Rename the file to "Beatport by &stevehero v4.3#Version History.txt" and you will see what happens.

It is with the extension .txt.

This is why I'm reporting it.

Please check for yourself.

I have renamed one file to "Beatport by &stevehero v4.3#Version History.txt" and it has right extension ".txt" in the extension column.
Why are all other files correctly?
Try to rename the file to "xxx.txt" and then again to "Beatport by &stevehero v4.3#Version History.txt" but type the text.

Same, problem remains.

EDIT:
Fixed it and checked this below. That has bugged me for a while now.
Thanks for letting me know it was fine your end which got me thinking it was a setting dug in there somewhere.

Which gets me thinking, if I had this unchecked then nothing should of shown here.
