[beta] FTP copy-directory fails (multibyte characters)

#1 Post by Taesoo Kwon » 11.04.2008, 13:51

I am Korean and thus often uses multi-byte characters (to type korean letters).
I have problem when copying remote folders through FTP if the folder names are in Korean.
Error messages:
--------------
DirectoryListing: (550) 550 Directory not found. - /조수미 - my story cd1:/<*
Exception in DownloadFile(): Cannot create file "F:\mp3\Classic\<*". File name, directory name or volume label is incorrect.
--------------
Here, the folder name in the error message is incorrect :
"F:\mp3\Classic\<*" -> should be "F:\mp3\Classic\조수미 - my story cd 1".

ps.
I can copy remote folders without problems when the folder names are in English (no matter whether the files in the folder are named in English or Korean).

There is another problem when copying empty folders (named in English), but it's not a big problem for me.
