v693 - Can't assign icon to toolbar buttons

#1 Post by jcouch93 » 13.07.2015, 19:08

Have an issue where I have added the "Show Hidden Files" and "Show System Files" buttons to the toolbar but I can't assign an icon to them. It will let me select an icon but it will never save. Tested on Win10 Build 10166 on both install and portable versions.

I can say it works fine on my win7.
Just make sure you uncheck the "Show drop down arrow only" option.

I think part of the issue may be that when I click on the three periods for either of the 2 buttons the "Details For:" window that pops us is not for that button. You can see that in my screenshot above in that the caption says List but I had clicked on the Show Hidden Files selector. I just played with it and below a certain point the menu choices just repeat. Below is what I see when I click on the three periods. NONE means there are no three periods to click on:

Button - What comes up in dialog

History Back - History Back
History Next - Hixtory Next
Seperator - NONE
View - View
Edit - Edit
Copy:Copy - Copy:Copy
Move:Move - Move:Move
Delete - Delete
Search... - Search...
Seperator - NONE
Tree - Tree
List - List
Details - Move:Move
Thumbnails - Delete
Refresh All - Search...
Seperator - Move:Move
Control Panel - Move:Move
Start Menu - Delete
Desktop Folder - Search
System Folders - NONE
Seperator - Tree
Show Hidden Files - List
Show System Files - Details

Must be a windows 10 issue, we'll have to wait for someone else to confirm this.

I've tried that and it doesn't work for me. I click OK and it never changes.:
It does not change currently in the list but change in the toolbar.
The same behavior is on Windows 8 and Windows 10.

I read this message, tried it again and it worked. However, I didn't save my settings (have that option unchecked in Prefs) and when I reopened it and tried to change the icons again I got the same thing reported above, namely that I can't get the correct selection in the dialog box. I click the 2 dots in the details column for "Show System Files" but the dialog appears for Details. I've tried using the keyboard to go down to it but it just won't, so for me anything below List in the Standard Toolbar can't be changed.
