667: Favorite Toolbar position not saved on exit
667: Favorite Toolbar position not saved on exit
This bug has been present in all previous versions. Just didn't report it till now. This bug is not present in FC2009. I always adjust my fav toolbar position in a convenient place along the top row. On restart the fav toolbar gets right adjusted (actually one button position away from the right edge). So I have to do the repositioning everytime I start FCX. This is annoying. Since everything else is saved correctly on exit, so should the fav toolbar position (locking the toolbars doesn't solve it by the way). FC2009 saves it as expected, so I am reporting this as a bug. I am using Windows 7.
Thanks in advance

Re: 667: Favorite Toolbar position not saved on exit
I'm using "Lock toolbars" option and haven't experienced this. I'll try disabling it and see what happens.
Re: 667: Favorite Toolbar position not saved on exit
Ok, I looked into it again in view of your response. Found out that it happens only when I hide the main menu (which I always configure as a drop down button in standard toolbar). It doesn't happen when main menu bar is present. My fav toolbar and standard toolbar are on the top bar where main menu was located. Anyway I would like the fav toolbar position still to be preserved since I don't want the space wasting main menu (which I can access by a drop down button anyway) to solve this problemjoby_toss wrote:I'm using "Lock toolbars" option and haven't experienced this. Re: 667: Favorite Toolbar position not saved on exit
Unfortunatelly, I can not reproduce your problem on Win7 and Win8.
Re: 667: Favorite Toolbar position not saved on exit
Well, then lets leave it at that. I had hoped someone would reproduce it. ThanksMarek wrote:Unfortunatelly, I can not reproduce your problem on Win7 and Win8.
Re: 667: Favorite Toolbar position not saved on exit
I have this same problem. And I too hide my main menu the same way you do. Thanks for pointing this out, I didn't catch the correlation before. Marek is always good at fixing the bugs, but he's been pretty silent on this one.
Re: 667: Favorite Toolbar position not saved on exit
If someone have config files and step by step description how to reproduce the problem - I can try to fix it.
Re: 667: Favorite Toolbar position not saved on exit
Thanks Marek. Let me put my toolbars back and I'll monitor this issue and report back. I was communicating with someone else about this issue on another thread and he doesn't hide his main menu and still has this problem. I'll keep you posted.
Re: 667: Favorite Toolbar position not saved on exit
Hello Marek,
It didn't take long to consistently duplicate this problem. Also this problem is consistent on both my Win 7 computers. I tried to attach a file with jpg, zip, ini, and doc as extensions and this forum didn't allow me to attach any of these extensions. So how can I get you these files?
