Show/Hide Main Menu in XP

Even when the Show/Hide Main Menu option is checked or unchecked the main menu doesn't stay shown in Windows XP. It stays shown until something else changes. If you exit FCXE and reopen, the main menu will be gone. I don't have this problem with Windows 7.
