832 - File container drag&drop and cut refresh issue

#1 Post by Dreamer » 07.11.2020, 12:33

To reproduce:
- create file container tab
- copy few files to this file container
- drag&drop file from file container to another panel, use Shift+left button (not the same path as original files)
= file is not removed from file container

- drag&drop file from file container to recycle bin in the splitter (confirmation dialog for delete operation in Windows should be disabled)
= file is not removed from file container

- cut (another) file in file container - Ctrl+X or context menu Cut item
- paste file to another panel - Ctrl+V or Paste context menu item (not the same path as original files)
= file is not removed from file container

Manual refresh, Ctrl+R fix the issue every time.

FC 832 donor 64-bit, Windows 10 2004 64-bit.

Fixed in 833.

Not fixed (use my settings, if you can't reproduce).

Still not fixed in 853.

NEW issue:

To reproduce:
- use default settings
- open FC 891 and FC 880 in window mode, so that both are fully visible on desktop
- in both instances create the SAME file container in the left panel
- in both instances create the same test folder A on local disk and enter this folder
- now create the test folder X in 891
= it's correctly shown in 880
- copy the folder X to file container in 891
= folder X is NOT shown in 880

OLD issue, updated info:

- use default settings
- drag&drop file from file container to recycle bin in the splitter (confirmation dialog for delete operation in Windows should be disabled)
= file is not removed from file container

This one is strange, still can reproduce it first time, but after that, when I do the same step for another file, it works good.

But if it is the older version that suffers from this, then what is the point of fixing this? How often do users go from current / newer version to an older one?

Would not time needed to fix this be better spend by Marek on fixing other bugs?

It's the same if using 2x 891 64-bit portable.
