File System Tree Panels

#1 Post by lvsunz3748 » 15.01.2017, 01:47

I'm not sure I'm using the correct terminology in this .

This is the FC version I'm using: FreeCommander XE 2016 Build 734 64-bit donor.

I'm configured as: dual panel- one panel on top of the other. The Tree Panels (?) are the same for top & bottom (OK). The problem is that when I click on an item in either Tree, e.g. Desktop both panels (top & bottom) get changed. My objective is when I click on an item in the top Panel only the top panel Focus gets changed. When I click on an item in the bottom panel only the bottom panel Focus gets changed. What's happening is when I click on any Tree item the Focus is changed in both Panels. Example: I may want the Focus in the top panel to be on Desktop and the Focus in the bottom panel to be on Documents.

Again, I apologize if I'm not using the correct FC terminology- I get confused. Hopefully what I've described above will help to show what my problem is & what I'm trying to accomplish.

Sure appreciate help. Thank you.

hello!
try this and see if you like it: Settings --> View --> Tree --> One tree per panel
(win10pro x64) - (latest FCXE x64 portable)

That's what I have now but apparently there's something else incorrectly configured.
