Hi!

How can I search for text strings in a folder which is containing pdf files (and other files)?
When I use the windows explorer (Windows 7), then I can find also text in pdf files after clicking on "search again in .... file content".

Is it possible to use that also in freecommander?
Do I need to use a converter?
How (in detail please)?

Note, that converter is available only in donor (not public) versions.

Hello Karol,

thank you for the quick answer! But didn't you see the text "in detail please"?

So if you know how to configure freecommander donor to be able to search for text in pdf files please let me know IN DETAIL!

Thanks a lot for your help on advance!

Thanks joby_toss! Now I get it!

I was not aware that xdoc2txt.exe does also work with pdf-files.
And in the help description of the Converter is no additional information about xdoc2txt.exe.
And japanese is not my favorite language.

But now it works with xdoc2txt.exe version 2.16.1!
