Zipping Files in 0:Desktop

I came across an interesting issue yesterday. I needed to zip some files that were on my desktop. I selected the Desktop icon on the drive bar (0: Desktop). Then I selected the files, then selected the pack icon on the action toolbar. It created the zip file, but the zip file was empty. If I select the desktop icon on the action toolbar the zip operation works correctly.

I understand that there's a difference of how FC reads 0: Desktop and actually going to the real location which the icon on the action toolbar does. But FC should either create the zip file when that command is invoked or if that's not possible than FC should state an error or something to warn the user that the zip function doesn't work when in 0: Desktop.

Any thoughts?
