Feature request: Exclude also for temporary filters

I know that I can define a filter with some excludes, but in some cases I only need such a filter once. Therefore, it would be easier if I could define a temporary filter that uses excludes instead of taking the detour.
This has been requested already in viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4537 but the thread drifted off topic a little bit.
